Who is the most frequently arrested person in the world, at the age of 20…

Washington. A man from the US state of Kentucky who was arrested more than 1,300 times in his life died last weekend at the age of 74. Henry Earl was known throughout the US as “the world’s most arrested man”, the New York Post reported. When he was buried at Owenton Cemetery on Thursday afternoon, there was no one in his family who could be contacted to attend his funeral ceremony.

The only people present at the cemetery were workers from the Owenton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Facility, the same center where the man spent the last days of his life. “He had a very special character. He also had a great sense of humor,” Ginny Ramsey, founder of the Catholic Action Center of Lexington, told local news outlet WLEX.

Reports in local news media outlets have described him as a ‘lovable hobo’. The Lexington Herald-Leader said that since 1992, according to data kept by the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government’s Community Reform Department, Henry Earl had been busted nearly 1,300 times. Media outlet ‘The Smoking Gun’ said Earl had been arrested more than 1,500 times over five decades.

According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, when Earl was 18, his adoptive mother died, after which he began drinking. In 1969, he worked as a busboy at a motel. Prior to this, he had never held an office job. He was fired from that job as well after he became addicted to drugs.

The report also said he was first arrested for carrying a concealed weapon in July 1970 in Fayette County when he was 20 years old, and since then he has spent more than 6,000 days in jail. He could not appear live on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in 2004 because he was in jail at the time.

His 1,000th arrest was in 2008 for alcohol intoxication when he was found unconscious in someone’s backyard. He joined a rehab program, but was arrested again after four months of sobriety. He was last arrested in April 2017 for public intoxication.
