Tarun Chugh is an Indian politician and the National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is the national convener of Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao (a Government of India campaign).

Tarun Chugh was born on Thursday, 3 May 1973 (age 50 years; as of 2023) in Amritsar, Punjab. His zodiac sign is Taurus. He has a B.A. from D.A.V. College, Amritsar. Tarun Chugh has had a diverse and impactful career within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Starting in 1989, he worked as District Secretary and State Executive member of ABVP. In 1993, he was chosen as the President of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) for the district of Amritsar, handling the office independently. In 1994, he made his entry into mainstream politics, serving in the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) as District Secretary and State Executive Member. He then assumed the role of District President of BJYM in the same year. Within two years, he rose to become the General Secretary and National Executive Member of BJYM Punjab, playing a prominent role in the party. In 1999, he led the YUVA CHETNA YATRA, a visionary project aimed at raising awareness among the youth about the party’s work, covering 2100 km across all District Head Quarters in Punjab and demonstrating his event management capabilities and knowledge-sharing skills. From 1995 to 2009, Tarun held various roles in the BJP, including State General Secretary of the Youth wing in Punjab and National Executive Member of Yuva Morcha, and Vice Chairman of Punjab Youth Development Board Department. In 2013, his outstanding ability to mobilize individuals and organizations led him to work as General Secretary of BJP Punjab and In-charge of Doaba Zone & BJP Youth Wing.
Tarun serves as the National General Secretary of the BJP. He addresses numerous booth worker meetings, election meetings, and public gatherings throughout his day. Furthermore, he takes charge as the in-charge of Andaman Nicobar & co-in-charge of Delhi State BJP, overseeing the functioning of rallies and public meetings. Tarun Chugh was reappointed as the National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the 2024 general elections.
