Sift Kaur Samra was born on Sunday, 9 September 2001 (age 22 years; as of 2023) in Faridkot, Punjab, India. Her zodiac sign is Libra. In 2022, Sift Kaur Samra earned a gold medal in the Junior World Cup Shooting Championships held in Suhl, Germany, and a gold medal in the 65th National Shooting Championships held in Kerala. She then won a gold medal in the 36th National Shooting Championships held in Gujarat, India.
In August 2023, Sift Kaur Samra won a gold medal at the 31st World University Games held in Chengdu.
In September 2023, Sift Kaur Samra broke the world record in the Women’s 50-metre rifle 3P event by a margin of 2.6 points. Scoring a total of 469.6 points, with 154.6 in kneeling, 157.9 in prone, and 157.1 in standing elimination, she defeated Chinese player Qiongyue Zhang, who won the silver medal. Sift Kaur Samra also earned a silver medal in the Women’s 50-metre rifle 3P team event during the same Games.
