Sameer Vidwans was born on Wednesday, 24 September 1980 in Pune, Maharashtra, India. He did his schooling at M.S.S High School in Pune and enrolled in the University of Pune for graduation. In 2005, Vidwans pursued his passion for filmmaking and went to study at the Film and Television Institution of India. He made his directorial debut with the Marathi film ‘Time Please’ in 2013 which was loved by the audience.

Sameer Vidwans, an Indian filmmaker started his career with his directorial debut Marathi film ‘Time Please'(2013). He gained immense popularity through some of his notable films including ‘Double Seat'(2015), ‘Mala Kahich Problem Nahi'(2017), and ‘Anandi Gopal'(2019) which was a biopic of the first Indian female doctor of Western medicine, played by Bhagyashree Milind in a lead role.
Vidwans films have been well received by the audience. He continues to contribute to the industry with his latest film ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ in June 2023 with actors in a leading roles, Kartik Aryan and Kiara Advani.
