Career
In 2015, Neha enrolled herself at the National Sailing School in Bhopal, under her coach Narendra Singh Rajput.
She has competed in various domestic and international championships. In March 2022, Neha made her international debut at the Asian Championships in Abu Dhabi, where she won a bronze medal in sailing, which helped her qualify for the Asian Games (2022) in Hangzhou. In 2023, Neha Thakur represented India at the 19th Asian Games (2022) held in Hangzhou, China, where she bagged a silver medal in the Girl’s Dinghy ILCA 4 event in sailing with a net score of 27 points from her 11 races. She finished fourth in the 11th race, in which she competed singlehandedly in a 4.23 m long and 65 kg dinghy.
