New Delhi. After the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the country’s politics has heated up. Statements are coming out daily from various political parties and leaders. In this sequence, the US State Department has commented on Kejriwal’s arrest. India has strongly objected to the comment of the US State Department. The Ministry of External Affairs has summoned US Deputy Ambassador to India Gloria Berbena. India said in clear words that it is absolutely not right to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries.

In fact, the Enforcement Directorate team arrested Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal a few days ago in the Delhi liquor scam case. The US State Department had said on this issue that they are keeping an eye on the entire incident. Now India has strongly objected to this attitude of America. The Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying, ‘We strongly oppose the comment made by the spokesperson of the US State Department on the Indian legal process. In diplomacy, America should respect the sovereignty and internal matters of other countries. In democracy, this responsibility increases further. If this does not happen, it will set a wrong example. India’s legal process is based on an independent judiciary. It is undesirable to doubt it.’

Serious allegations against Arvind Kejriwal
The ED has told the court that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Kejriwal is the “mastermind and main conspirator of the Delhi Excise Policy Scam”. The agency said that “Aam Aadmi Party used the proceeds of crime in the Goa Assembly elections, in which Kejriwal is the main decision maker.

Earlier, the Enforcement Directorate, in a supplementary complaint, had alleged that Kejriwal had spoken to Sameer Mahendru, one of the main accused in the excise scam, over a video call and asked him to continue working with Vijay Nair, a co-accused in the scam. Kejriwal had described Nair as “his boy”. Let us tell you that Vijay Nair is the former communication in-charge of the Aam Aadmi Party.
