Indian citizen Nikhil Gupta has now been handed over to America from the Czech Republic. This claim was made in a media report. In fact, 52-year-old Nikhil Gupta was arrested in the Czech Republic last year at the request of the US government on charges of being involved in the conspiracy to murder Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. Nikhil Gupta is expected to be produced in a federal court in New York today i.e. on Monday. Nikhil Gupta is currently lodged in the federal Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he is listed as a prisoner. The Washington Post first reported Nikhil’s extradition.

People associated with this case said that Nikhil Gupta was detained in the Czech Republic. He arrived in New York this weekend. Usually, extradited accused have to appear in court within a day of arriving in the country.
