Bhushan Pradhan is an Indian actor. His nickname is Pillu and his friends call him Bhushi. He primarily works in the Marathi entertainment industry. He has been selected in the Maharashtra Times’ Most 50 Desired Men in Maharashtra List 4 times and once in the Times Of India’s Most 50 Desired Men in India List; he grabbed 24th rank in this list. He is a fitness freak, foodie, chef, and equestrian.
Bhushan Pradhan was born on Tuesday, 25 November 1986 in Goregaon, Raigad, Maharashtra. His zodiac sign is Sagittarius. After his birth, his family moved to Pune where he completed his school education at Kamalnayan Bajaj High School, Pune. He pursued a Bachelor’s in Commerce from Symbiosis International University, Pune. Later, he pursued a Master’s of Business Administration at SIMS (Sahyadri Institute of Management Studies), Pune, Maharashtra.

Bhushan’s father is Shashikant Pradhan and his mother is Seema Pradhan (Rohini Karnik). His mother was a school teacher from 2005 to 2016 in Pune. After retirement from school, she followed her passion for painting, knitting, and stitching. She conducted an exhibition of her paintings in 2018 in Pune.
Bhushan has two siblings, a brother, Kaustubh Pradhan, and a sister, Shraddha Pradhan. Shraddha is an HR; she got married to Amar on 3 March 2022.
Bhushan’s name was associated with many actresses like Sanskruti Balgude, Pooja Sawant, Bhagyashree Limaye, and Vaishali Mahajan.

Bhushan started his acting career with the Marathi TV channel Mi Marathi. His debut TV serial was ‘Ghe Barari’ telecast in 2007. After it, he started working with the prominent Marathi TV channel Star Pravah. He played important roles in the serials ‘Chaar Choughi’ (2009-2011) and ‘Olakh’ (2010-2011). He also worked with Zee Marathi in the serials ‘Kunku’ (2009-2010) and ‘Pinjara’ (2011-2012). For ‘Pinjara’ he won the Best Actor and Best Couple awards as he played the lead role in this serial.
Currently, he is playing the role of Veer Shivaji in ‘Jai Bhawani Jai Shivaji’, a TV serial based upon the life of Veer Shivaji telecast by Zee Marathi.
Bhushan’s debut Marathi film was ‘Parambi’ (2011). He played the lead role of Gangadhar. He starred in other Marathi movies like ‘Satrangi Re’ (2012), ‘Kalakar’ (2013), ‘Goshta Tichya Premachi’ (2014), Mismatch (2014), and ‘Time Pass’ (2014). ‘Time Pass’ was a blockbuster film and brought huge financial success to Marathi cinema. It ended up collecting Rs 33 crore at the box office. Its second part, ‘Time Pass 2’ was released in 2015. Its first-day collection was Rs. 3.75 crore, which was the highest for any Marathi movie.
Till now he acted in more than 20 movies such as ‘Time Bara Vait’ (2015), ‘Dhinchak Enterprise’ (2015), ‘Nivdung’ (2016), ‘Gulmohor’ (2016), ‘Aami Doghi’ (2018), and ‘Ajinkya’ (2021).
His debut Hindi film was ‘Anya’ (2022). This film won two awards: Best Film at the Alvisbein Film Festival in Sweden, and Best First Time Director and Best Picture at the Falcon International Film Festival (June 2021) in London. The film has won accolades at the Global Indian International Film Festival and the Toronto Independent Festival.
Bhushan has starred in two web series. His debut Marathi web series was ‘Gondya Aala Re’ (2019) and his debut Hindi web series was ‘Codename’ (2019). Both web series were streamed on Zee5.
He was part of the play Hamlet (2018-2020) directed by Chandrakant Kulkarni and produced by Zee Marathi.

- He bagged two awards, the Best Actor Award for the role of Veer, and the Best Couple Award with Sanskruti Balgude (Anandi) in the TV serial Pinjara at Zee Marathi Utsav Natyancha Awards 2011.
