Auritra Ghosh is a prominent Indian actress, dancer, and theatre artist, born in Jamshedpur and raised in Delhi. She celebrates her birthday every year on the 7th of August. Auritra lives with her father and an elder sister. Her mother passed away when Auritra was very young.
Belonging to a Bengali lineage, her immense passion for the creative field has provided a solid foundation for her skills in art. She attended TATA Institute of Data Sciences and studied Information Systems for her higher education. Auritra is a trained Kathak, jazz, ballet, modern, and contemporary dancer. Proudly enough, she has performed and presented her craft in Dubai, Muscat, and Belgium.

Film
Having kick-started her career by performing arts at 16 and having done numerous shows around the world, films came rather naturally to Auritra Ghosh. She made her Bollywood debut with Sahara Motion Pictures and Born Free Entertainment produced, a Hindi romantic film, Love Breakups Zindagi (2011). Having already faced the cameras before during her dancing days, shooting for the movie was what Auritra Ghosh enjoyed thoroughly.
Later in 2015, Auritra got her hands on a movie under the banner, Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, Dharam Sankat Mein, which also starred some legendary film actors such as Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor, and Naseeruddin Shah. Even though the movie got mixed reviews from the audience, Auritra was great at accepting everything that came her way.
In 2016, Auritra Ghosh starred in India’s first ‘stoner film’, M Cream, a movie solely about a road trip. Even though it was a challenging role for Auritra Ghosh, the movie did exceptionally well upfront and was also acquired by Netflix for worldwide viewing.
Auritra Ghosh was also a part of the superhit movie, Good Newwz (2019) starring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh.

Later in 2017, Auritra also choreographed and performed in the adaptation of the famous ‘The Threepenny Opera’, a theatre initiative by Aditya Birla Group. She was also an essential part of the cast of ‘STAND UP: a serious play about comedy’ – an Akvarious Theatre Production, featuring various nuanced acts and performances.
